PEI was contracted to provide engineering services for a new steel frame building with new foundation, new slab on grade and new process equipment with pits to be constructed in place of the existing building.
The scope of work included structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil engineering and construction documents for a new steel frame building with a 40 MTon crane, a new Kamatsu equipment foundation with a pit approximately 18’ deep with a steel frame supporting system, reconfigure the existing underground scrap conveyor system, newscrap conveying system with access walkway. Electrical upgrade to obtain power from other vault locations to the new building.
PEI coordinated with pre-fabricated steel building and crane manufactures to ensureproject success.
